PHOENIX

ERFLE residence

The clients for the Erfle Project had an outdated kitchen / dining space that didn't flow well and was lacking good daylight.  A modern update was needed to address these issues.  PINNELLA I KAHNG architecture studio developed a new floor plan layout which rotated the island to improve the flow of these space.  A ribbon window placed at counter height in the kitchen captured a view to an existing garden and brought much needed daylight into this room.  New laminated white faced cabinets give a more contemporary feel over the existing wood ones.

In the dining / living area a wood flush face built-in replaced outdated cabinets and helps anchor the space.  Alternating grain gives the built-in a thoughtful feel.  A new four panel multi-sliding aluminum frame door connects the space to the existing covered patio and brings in needed daylight.
